Alfred Thayer Mahan would be proud! And you will be too when you sport these socks and show off your maritime bona fides.
The Navy celebrates its founding as 13 October 1775. But it was the Naval Act of 1794 that really laid the foundations for the mighty United States Navy we have today. It took a while to get there (Oscar Wilde made fun of the U.S. Navy in the 19th century in his book, the Canterville Ghost) but since the end of WWII no other navy in the world even comes close. Always Courageous!
